The majority of Carei\u2019s population is made of Hungarian ethnics (51,87%). The main minorities are Romanians (38,26%), Germans (2,27%), Roma (2,19%) and others or undeclared (5,28%). No religious group can claim a majority in Carei however, the important communities are Roman-Catholic (35,53%), Romanian Orthodox (31,72%), Reformed (19,52%) and Greek-Catholic (5,76%).<\/p>\n
